Abstract:
Low temperature techniques have been applied to a wide variety of physical phenomena. The research has been directed toward the measurement of the electric dipole moment of the He3 nucleus and the development of a free precession nuclear gyroscope, the examination of the nature of phase transitions by light scattering from helium at the critical region and toward the measurement of g-2 of the electron and positron and the development of a detector of single photons in the microwave and infrared region of the spectrum. The experiments and progress to date are briefly described. Author
