Abstract:
A large number of measurements of temperature patterns in nozzles is compared with chemical-kinetic computations. The gas composition, the initial temperatures and initial pressures in front of the nozzle were varied in relatively extensive limits. The investigations were aimed at a computation of all measured temperature patterns of the burnt relaxing gases with one suitably chosen set of coefficients for the chemical reactions. Besides, one discusses more closely the necessary presumptions which must be fulfilled in order to exclude safely all sources of errors in the case of the applied optical measuring method. Author
