Abstract:
A FORTRAN IV program has been written to solve the two-dimensional heat flow problem. The program may contain up to nine regions of heat flow each may have several types of boundary conditions isothermal, adiabatic, contact, etc. The initial temperature distribution may be point-by-point, linear, exponential or sinusoidal. The alternating direction implicit method was used to approximate the partial differential equation. The program was designed for use on the IBM 7094 digital computer. Author
