Abstract:
A Q-spoiled ruby laser 120 x 12 mm ruby, pumped by an IFP-2000 lamp with a phthalocyanin shutter was used to determine the temperature dependence of laser emission. Interferograms were taken at 3 degrees temperature intervals with a Fabry-Perot interferometer. The results showed a shift in generation frequency toward large wavelengths with an increase in ruby temperature. The average value of the shift was 0.1cm-1 per degree in the 15-30 degree centigrade region of ruby temperature change.
