Abstract:

The application of Millers algorithm is investigated for backward recursion to difference equations, where the coefficients have a representation as an asymptotic series. The convergence of several methods are discussed which are related to Millers algorithm and which can be used when Millers algorithm does not converge. A number of examples are included.
