Abstract:
The document describes the development and evaluation of an Air Force systems-oriented electronics maintenance course for weapon control systems technicians. The program consisted of three phases A behavioral description based upon a task analysis of actual job requirements. An experimental 14-week training course prepared from the objectives obtained in Phase 1. A group of subjects with electronics aptitude percentile scores ranging from 60 to 95 received training. Data on all subjects was obtained including aptitude scores, reading ability scores, course grades, end-of-course performance testing, field followup performance testing and supervisory appraisals. The performance of experimental and control groups was compared on the basis of these data. Author
