A review of published literature shows that the short-lived products of radon decay can exist in two states elementary ions or free atoms uncombined atoms, and atoms deposited on aerosol particles found in the air. There are two methods for determining the content of free atoms in the air Precipitation by diffusion and in an electrical field. The present article contains the results of a study of the distribution of charges among the free products of radon decay under various conditions of their existence.
