Abstract:
The paper presents some tentative statistical evidence on the association between regional birth rates and family planning program activity in Taiwan as an illustration of a different approach to evaluation of program effectiveness. Most of the analysis dealt with the first two years, 1966 and 1967, in which the national program appeared to have a significant effect on birth rates. Author
