Punch tape input devices of electronic computers must be designed to meet government standards GOST 13051-67. These requirements include operating temperatures, humidity and air pressure ranges as well as specifications for the tape, the insulation, interference, etc. Testing for conformity to these requirements is outlined in detail. A thorough check must be made periodically as well as the production testing during manufacture. Requirements for labelling, packing, transport and storage are given in detail.
