Abstract:

This authors certificate introduces a flutter indicator which contains a converter to change motions of the test structure to an electric signal. The instrument is designed for indicating onset of flutter by simultaneously showing the peak-to-peak amplitude of the structural oscillations and the derivative with respect to time for the envelope of these oscillations. The unit is made up of a detector, low-frequency filter and differentiator connected in series, and two relays connected to the output of the filter and differentiator respectively.
