Abstract:
The basic conditions for simulating fuel combustion processes and temperature field formation in combustion chambers are reviewed. The schematic shown is recommended for analytical studies of the reaction processes which take place in combustion chambers. Since heat losses are insignificant in combustion chambers operating at high thermal stresses, they can be disregarded in the study of the combustion efficiency of fuel and in the formation of temperature fields. The most reliable modeling can be achieved when the air pressure and temperature at the chamber inlet, the air composition, and the thermophysical properties of the fuel are uniform. The review is based on previous investigations. Author
