Abstract:
The determination of the earths disturbing potential T from the gravity anomalies delta g given on the earths surface has been presented by Molodenskiy as the solution of the third boundary problem of potential theory. This boundary condition may be regarded as given on the first approximation of the earths surface S the surface obtained by plotting only the normal heights outward from the reference surface. In the present paper this problem is solved by the method of Greens functions. Author
