Abstract:

The report describes a computer program which calculates concentration-time profiles behind incident shock waves by numerically integrating the system of rate equations. The use of this program to investigate the kinetics of carbon monoxide oxidation is also considered. A mechanism and values for the associated rate constants which formally describe the initial rates in a 2 CO - 1 O2 - 97 Ar mixture between 1700 -2300 K is given. Author
