Abstract:
A composite stack of nuclear emulsions and lead sheets mounted in a spark chamber array triggered by scintillator and gas Cherenkov counters was flown to look for energetic electrons with E 6 or 10 GeV. A considerable number of particles detected by the primary electrons have been traced into the nuclear emulsions and identified as not being electrons but particles making nuclear interactions. The number of identified electrons found corresponds to an intensity of electrons with E 10 GeV of 0.08 0.06 or -0.04 electrons meter squared sr. sec. Author
