The report describes the research results of the Concomp Project Research in the Conversational Use of Computers, for the period 1 July to December 1968. Topics include modifications to the IBM 36067 central computing facility expansions of the Data Concentrator the programmable data communications interface to the 36067 designed and constructed at the University of Michigan implementation of the Touch-Tone telephone as a general terminal using the audio response unit further developments of MAD1 the development of display file routines for use in communicating between the DEC 338 and the IBM 36067 and the development of a General Network Service System GENESES to provide a framework both theoretical and practical within which various network types--queueing networks, electrical networks, flow networks, etc.--may be described and analyzed graphically in a conversational manner.
