Pagination or Media Count:
A method of fabrication is described whereby a sampling orifice of about 0.1 mm diameter may be produced in a noble metal insert carried at the apex of a hollow stainless steel conical probe. The method permits the orifice to be formed in metals having desirable chemical and thermal properties but which are otherwise difficult to machine or prohibitively expensive for use as the bulk material of the probe.
