Abstract:
The investigation has the following objectives 1 To provide in one document the highlights of various scattering techniques for measuring near-zone electromagnetic field distributions, 2 To investigate the feasibility of using a laser beam to modulate a photoconductive scattering element, 3 To extend the application of the modulated scattering technique to lower frequencies, 4 To explore possibilities for making the modulated scattering technique more useful in practice. Two of the more promising modulated scattering techniques are selected for experimental evaluation at frequencies other than X-band. These include the use of an audio diode modulated scatterer and a light modulated scatterer. Author
