Abstract:
The effect of nicroorganisms of soil secured by carbamide resin has been investigated. Various species of fungi Actinomycetes and bacteria were tested in liquid carbamide resin, a gel prepared by addition of 5 HCl solution to the resin, and also in samples of sand and loeff soils secured by resin. Addition of 0.1 of the resin to cultures of the test-organisms completely suppressed growth of desulfurized bacteria, microbacteria and actinomycetes, and the growth of the majority of other microorganisms was inhibited. None of the test-organisms grew in resin concentrations of 3. Certain microorganisms, including Trichoderma which grew in 2 resin, were able to utilize the carbamide resin as a nitrogen source.
