Abstract:

In order to process measuring information from the analog ZENIT-2 into an electronic digital computer of the Minsk-2 type, a special analog-digital converter is required. The article describes such a device at the output of which a four-decade, binary-decimal 8-4-2-1 code necessary for a digital computer is obtained. The converter device it replaces worked only with the 1000s category, while the present provides for categories of the 1000s, 100s, 10s and units. The device consists of a scaling unit, a computing unit, a decoder, conversion of the pick-up number and the decimal time register number to binary-decimal code. The output of the converter is on punched tape or punched cards. Author
