The subject of the report is the problem of a semi-infinite dipole antenna driven in an azimuthally asymmetric manner by a TE sub 11 mode in a coaxial guide. An exact solution is obtained by the Wiener-Hopf technique and expressions derived for the reflection coefficient of the TE sub 11 mode, the directive gain, and the currents on the various conducting surfaces.
