Recent interest in air to air combat has led to investigations of several interesting problems in control theory and differential games. Among these problems is the determination of optimal evasive tactics for a high performance aircraft attacked by an air-air missile using proportional navigation. The goal is to determine the maneuvers for which the aircraft can cause the greatest miss. Preliminary results in this study will be described. Author
