This paper is primarily a report on observations and experience gained during two years of tracking artificial earth satellites from a site at 60 deg. N latitude, using a Baker-Nunn camera. A special effort was made to find the most efficient way of using the camera and the maximum output of observational results to be expected under normal climatic conditions. The mechanical properties of the camera and their limitations were also studied.
