Abstract:

The study is a description of the physical and cultural features found along the West Pakistan coastal zone from the Iranian to the Indian borders. The coastal zone includes the rocky headlands, pocket bays, lagoons, and wide alluvial plains which extend, in places, 80 miles inland from the shore. The study is mainly concerned with coastal landforms, but it also discusses coastal ports and fishing villages. This is the first study to date to summarize the physiography of the entire West Pakistan coastal region. Author
