A problem is given of oscillations of a system with dry friction and a one-way elastic link, for which the dependence between a force P and a displacement finite derivative is given by the formula P equals 12 1 plus sgn finite derivative B finite derivative, where B is a constant. The random character of dry friction is noted in practical systems. It is suggested that a random multiplier Phi x be introduced in the expression for the dependence of the friction force upon velocity, in order to account for the random character of dry friction certain hypothetical qualitative considerations on the character of this multiplier distribution are expressed.
