Abstract:

The paper analyzes the relationship between student orientations to politics and certain systemic variables. Its purpose is to develop a comparative framework for explaining why students in various polities behave the way they do. The model is based upon students views of the legitimacy of political authority and the extent to which they are aware of and involved in politics. It allows us to evaluate the relationship and importance of social-psychological and systemic variables as well as to view student movements comparatively. Author
