Abstract:

The research evaluated the feasibility of a microfilm system for providing information about Navy ratings to recruits and evaluated the adequacy of Navy job information presently being given to recruits. Additionally it provided information about a what job information is considered most important, b the effectiveness of different ways of learning about Navy occupations, and c the recruits expressed satisfaction regarding job assignments. The microfilm system investigated was considered too costly for implementation in recruit training at present. A recommendation for tryout and evaluation of a simplified microfilm method was made.
