Abstract:
The study emphasizes reactions between gaseous fission and activated elements and solid substrate materials. Reported are the high-temperature properties of gaseous fission products and the phenomenon of gaseous fission products colliding with gaseous, liquid, or solid materials. Present studies encompass one phase of the overall program - the study of gaseous fission elements reacting with solid target materials. Work includes 1 sticking phenomena, 2 sticking coefficient measurements, 3 gaseous species, and 4 high-temperature effects on kaolin and silica.
