Abstract:

A series of beach-process experiments was conducted on Bodie Island, North Carolina, during 1963-1964 by members of the Coastal Studies Institute staff. Included were essentially continuous and simultaneous measurements of subaerial-beach and inshore-bottom configuration, sediment characteristics, wave and swash properties, still-water levels, and currents.
