The vibrations of rectangular, isotropic and orthotropic plates with different boundary conditions on the outer edges were studied for the following interior conditions 1 a cutout in the interior, 2 a clamped area in the interior, and 3 a cutout reinforced along the edges. Solutions were obtained by the use of double infinite series, finite difference methods, finite element methods, and reflection methods.
