Abstract:

Nonstationary processes were examined burning under variable pressure, extinction and ignition for a model of powder, the burning rate u and surface temperature T1 of which depend on pressure p and initial temperature T0. All of the processes which occur in the reaction layer of the condensed phase and in the gas phase are considered to be inertialess. The change of burning rate in time in the presence of small, sudden changes of pressure has been investigated. Reasons were clarified according to which extinction of the powder can occur in the presence of a sufficiently rapid and deep drop of pressure. The process of powder ignition was qualitatively examined. Author
