Abstract:

An analytical method is outlined for calculating a turbulent multicomponent boundary layer on a surface in the presence of chemical reactions and ablation with various diffusion coefficients taken into account. A system of fundamental equations describing a one-dimensional flow in a laminar sublayer is solved under certain assumptions. Two cases are considered with certain diffusion coefficients taken into account 1 When the gas mixture includes all the components taking part in the reactions and they are separated into two groups of near molecular weights plus an arbitrary number of groups of inert components of near molecular weights, with total number of diffusion coefficients taken into account 2 When the gas mixture includes all the active components, separated into three groups of near molecular weights plus an arbitrary number of groups of inert components of near molecular weights with the total number of diffusion coefficients increased. An approximate method based on the use of the integral equation of motion is applied for determining the friction coefficient with viscosity effects taken into consideration. Author
