Abstract:

Samples of metal and slag were taken before vacuum formation and before deoxidation from a ladle where the metal was 150-160 centimeters deep. Boiling started in the upper levels of the metal, where practically all the cavities were filled with gas and the degassing proceeded throughout the whole vo. of the metal. The cavitation effect began in the cavities of the lining and at the bottom of the ladle. Author
