The phonon spectra obtained by S. I. Masharov are used to calculate the intensity of the Mossbauer line for crystals with vacancies and for solid solutions with one atom per unit cell, assuming that there are now local vibrations. The vibrations are considered in the harmonic approximation. The vacancy and impurity-atom concentrations are assumed to be small. It is shown that vacancies always decrease the absorption cross section and the Mossbauer-line intensity, and have a stronger influence on the intensity at high temperatures. In the case of solid solutions, the intensity of the Mossbauer line can increase or decrease, depending on the ratio of the masses of the component atoms and on their coupling parameters. The results can be used to determine the vacancy concentration.
