Abstract:

During the investigation of the feces of practically healthy adults the presence of heat-resistant strains of Cl. perfringens type A was revealed in 0.8, and during the investigation of patients with symptoms of food poisoning heat-resistant strains of Cl. perfringens were detected in 10.9 of the cases. The exposure of these strains in a considerably greater number of patients testified in favor of their possible etiological role during the stated food poisonings, whereas workers in food enterprises and personnel in childrens institutions may not play a large role in the distribution of infection.
