Abstract:
Fluctuations of temperature and wind components at South Dartmouth, Mass. are analyzed. Temperature spectra and cospectra of stress and heat flux obey similarity theory those of the horizontal wind components do not. Normalized cospectra of heat flux and stress are the same. New estimates of the universal constant in the inertial range are made. Estimation procedures for spectra and cospectra are presented. Coherence between winds and temperatures and wind components at different levels obey simple patterns. The time delay between levels is greater for wind direction than speed. Author
