Abstract:
A summary is given of work accomplished in five general categories 1 The fluid motions of planetary nebulae including radiative transfer aspects of the problem. 2 The evaporation of stars from clusters, and their dynamical history, including the problem of secular stability of such systems. 3 Problems of gravitational instability and condensation of stellar systems. 4 Properties of waves in dense plasmas, including the effects of screening by degenerate electrons on the rates of possible nuclear reactions. 5 Properties of shock waves in attenuated media, especially in attenuated plasmas. Subsidiary related work is also reported. A full bibliography of this work is included. In addition, unpublished work is described in the following subjects a A variational principle for the stability of star clusters. b The electrodynamics and statistical mechanics of equilibrium plasmas. c The transport properties of magnetoplasmas.
