Abstract:
Cathodic libration of hydrogen in a glass capillary on the surface of the nickel wire was investigated by means of motion picture and single frame photography, recording of the current and measurement of the potential difference. The size of the bubbles leaving the electrode surface has been determined. The dependence of the gas removal conditions on current density, tilt and widening of the capillary have been determined. The ohmic resistance of electrolyte under different conditions of gas removal has been measured. Author
