Described herein is a rapid method for the quantitative analysis of 1,1,2 Trichloro 1,2,2 Trifluoro Ethane Freon 113 in atmospheric concentrations ranging from one 1 to one thousand 1,000 parts per million. This gas-liquid chromatographic method utilizes the flame ionization detector and employs a unique method of standardization. The standard can be prepared, a complete concentration range chromatographed and graphed in approximately fifteen minutes. This procedure is not limited to the concentrations quoted here. Both lower and higher concentrations are easily analyzed by mere adjustment of the prepared standard, instrument adjustments, or sample size injected. The method outlined here has been in use for approximately two years and has proven both reliable and accurate. Its advantage lies in the ease, simplicity and rapidity of both standardization and subsequent analysis. Author
