Abstract:

A two-state, two-state power amplifier has been built. The preamplifier stage is a bistable wall attachment amplifier, the power stage a vortex amplifier. A method of graphical analysis is given to describe the static interconnection of the two dissimilar elements. The static characteristics of the device show a turndown ratio the ratio of maximum vortex amplifier outlet flow to the total flow which must be supplied to the hybrid amplifier in the standby condition of 5.51 with a ratio of vortex amplifier supply pressure to input control pressure of 41.
