Abstract:

An x-ray spectrograph with quartz crystal 1340 planes was used to investigate the K absorption edge of iron in FeC5H52 and FeC5H52Cl. The calculation of the absorption edge was carried out under the assumption that the system is hydrogen-like. The influence of the electric field of the molecule on the hydrogen-like system is disclosed, and the effective charge of the iron ion in the investigated compound is found to be 0.7. Author
