The alloy EI868 was heated to 1200C for 5 min. and then cooled in water or air. Alloy EI868 hardened during aging owing to the formation of the dispersed phases carbides M23C6, solid solns. of tungsten in chromium, or intermetallic phase Fe2W. In alloys contg.
