Decameter wavelength observations of the solar noise storm during the latter portion of August, 1959, were obtained at this laboratory. These data displayed several characteristics which are not apparent in the observations at shorter wavelengths. Firstly, decameter wavelength emission was observed before the meter wavelength emission was observed. Secondly, intense decameter wave emission ended on August 25, while intense meter wavelength emission persisted until Sept. 3. Thirdly, observations indicate quite uniform emission. The intense amplitude scintillations found by other observers was not observed. Author
