Abstract:
It is concluded that the intensified study of biochemical indices of the organisms of lower and higher monkeys is of considerable interest and should, undoubtedly, yield materials for a further differentiation of biochemistry possibly, not only between species but within species as well. The application of the methods of biochemical analysis, as used in the study of the biochemistry of humans, to the systematic study of simians, should produce information which can be of considerable interest for the understanding of the evolution of biochemical processes. The application of the biochemical analysis will also enable us to use monkeys as objects for the experimental reproduction and study of those diseases which are common to man.
