Further evidence for the formation of excited species in N-atomO-atom recombination reactions catalyzed by carbon compounds is obtained. Such formation of N2 andor NO was previously infered from the enhancement of the NO chemi-ion formation rate upon carbon compound addition. The present paper discusses a similar enhancement of NO A2Sigma, NO B2Pi and O1S formation rate, observed directly by the chemiluminescent light emission from these species. Author
