Abstract:
The effect of temperature on growth of Ti3Al precipitates in Ti - Al Alloys was determined with sensitive X-ray diffraction techniques. It was found that the precipitate size in Ti-8.5 Al alloy was considerably more dependent on aging temperature than the precipitate size in 8-1-1 alloy. Also the solvus temperature for precipitation was approximately the same for the two alloys 675C to 700C. Author
