Abstract:

7 - 30 MICRON EMISSION SPECTRA OF THE EARTH AND ATMOSPHERE NEAR THE GEOMETRIC HORIZON HAVE BEEN OBTAINED WITH A ROCKET-BORNE TELESCOPEINTERFEROMETER. The CO2 15 micron and the ozone 9.7 micron bands are observed in absorption when viewing the earth. The CO2 band is also seen in emission when the field-of-view grazes the earth. Author
