Abstract:
The superficial structures of a bacterial cell -- the capsule and cytoplasmic membrane -- have a common antigen -- O-antigen. Cytoplasm does not contain O-antigens. H-antigen is localized in the flagellae. In demonstrating the antigens of individual structural elements of a bacterial cell with fluorescent antibodies even, specific luminescence of the stained structures is observed. Author
