Abstract:
A knowledge of the galactic gamma-ray and electron flux is of importance in understanding and explaining cosmological phenomena. Until now, few measurements of these fluxes have been conducted. The scope of the measurements made on gamma-rays has been confined to very low or intermediate energies 1 GeV. The electron flux has not been measured above a few MeV. Recent detector developments in high energy physics now permit a simple and straightforward search for the shower-producing components e-, gamma of the cosmic ray flux.
