Abstract:

A novel quartz crystal packaging technique has been developed which has resulted in reducing the volume of a complete filter by over 60. This technique involves the mounting of three quartz crystals, each resonant at a different frequency, in a can normally used for one crystal blank. This report will present a detailed description of the mounting technique and the electrical characteristics of a complete SSB filter using this novel mounting method. Author
