Abstract:

The erosion resistance of two high temperature insulating materials were evaluated by exposure to the exhaust flame of a rocket engine. The materials involved were 1 coatings of metal-modified zirconium or titanium and zirconia on steel plate and 2 asbestos filled Monstanto SC-1008 resin.
